LICENSING INFORMATION

We encourage anyone who is interested in participating in this valuable community service to become a licensed amateur radio operator. It is a great opporunity to be of service to Principia and the world.

Principia has three ARRL Certified Extra Class Volunteer Examiners. License examination sessions are hosted frequently at Principia.

There are four classes of amataur radio license as issued by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC):

• Technician Class (entry level, no code requirement)
• General Class (mid-level, no code requirement)
• Extra Class (highest level, no code requirement)
